1969 Olivetti Valentine

$399.00
sold out

One of the most famous, and recognizable typewriters ever produced, THIS is the Olivetti Valentine. Released February, 14th, 1969, and designed by Ettore Sottsass. It’s the only typewriter on permanent display at the New York Museum of Modern Art.

This machine has been fully serviced and rebuilt. The shell was fully removed, sanded, buffed, and polished. The polishing process is quite extensive, though well worth the effort. The depth of color in the plastic is heightened, and the lipstick red really shines. Of course not everything can be polished out. There are still small scratches, mainly where the case rubs against the body.

The case, and typewriter become one. The carrying handle is built into the rear of the machine. Sliding the Valentine into its case is quick and easy. Perfect for traveling with your typewriter.

I’ve thoroughly serviced, and adjusted this machine. It’s ready to write the next great novel! It’s the perfect gift for the aspiring writer, journalist, poet, or typewriter lover in your life!
